Quincy man faces multiple charges after truck accident

A Quincy man faces multiple charges after a pickup truck accident about 11 p.m. Saturday at Fifth and Locust.

Officers with the Quincy Police Department were dispatched to Fifth and Locust on a report of a truck accident involving two other vehicles. The driver had fled the scene.

Police report an investigation revealed a Ford pickup truck stolen earlier in Quincy had crossed the center line and struck two vehicles parked facing south.

The identity of the driver was also determined, according to police.

Casey J. Mayes, 21, of 1205 N. Sixth, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a stolen vehicle, aggravated driving under the influence and driving while license was revoked. He was lodged in the Adams County Jail.
