Guthrie posts another top-25 finish on West Coast swing

LOS ANGELES -- Six weeks into his rookie season on the PGA Tour and Quincy native Luke Guthrie continues to find himself in the mix on the weekends.

Guthrie posted his second top-25 finish of the season and fourth top-30 finish when he fired a 1-under 70 Sunday at Riviera Country Club and wound up tied for 21st at 3-under overall in the Northern Trust Open.

Guthrie has made four cuts and currently sits 59th on the PGA Tour money list with $213,753.

John Merrick won a two-hole playoff with Charlie Beljan for his first career victory. The finished at 11-under.
