LAPLATA, Mo. -- Two Memphis residents and a LaPlata driver were injured in a two-car accident at 7:14 p.m. Friday at U.S. 63 at Highway D in Macon County.

Amie Myers, 28, of LaPlata, and Clayton R. Miller, 29, and Merit F. Miller, 6, both of Memphis, were taken by ambulances to the Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville for treatment of minor injuries.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported Myers was driving a 2005 Honda Odyssey east and failed to yield to a 2007 Chevrolet Equinox driven south by Faith A. Miller, 28, of Memphis. The Honda drove into the side of the Chevrolet, police said. All were wearing seat belts.

Assisting were the Macon County Sheriff's Department, LaPlata Fire Department and Macon County and Adair County ambulances.
