The engagement of Alexis Gaus and Bryan Davis has been announced by their parents. She is a daughter of Darin and Chantel Gaus of Ewing, Mo. Mr. Davis is a son of Brad and Anne Davis of Canton, Mo.

The bride-elect graduated from Highland High School in Ewing in 2009 and from Hickey Vet Tech Institute in St. Louis in October 2010 with a veterinary technician degree. Miss Gaus is a veterinary technician at the Western Illinois Veterinary Clinic in Quincy.

The prospective bridegroom graduated from Canton High School in 2007 and from the University of Missouri-Columbia in May 2011 with a bachelor of science degree in mechanical and aerospace engineering. He will graduate in May with a master of business administration.

A June 1 wedding is planned at Glascock's Landing in Hannibal, Mo.
