The engagement of Lindsey Eden Turner and James Andrew Madsen, both of Boston, has been announced by their mothers, Sherri Turner and Marsha Madsen, both of Quincy.

The bride-elect is also a daughter of M. Kent Turner of St. Louis. She graduated from Quincy High School in 2001 and attended the University of Colorado at Boulder and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, earning a bachelor of fine arts degree in 2006. Miss Turner is a designer at IDEO.

The prospective bridegroom is also a son of Robert Madsen of the Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy. He graduated from Quincy High School in 2001, from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2005 with a bachelor of science degree, and earned a doctorate in 2011 from the University of Texas at Austin. Mr. Madsen is a scientist at Momenta Pharmaceuticals.

The couple will be married April 27 in Austin.
