Dinner-trivia night March 9 at Mount Sterling

MOUNT STERLING, Ill. -- St. Mary School will be host of a double fundraiser on March 9.

A shamrock dinner featuring brisket, a potato bar, cabbage and dessert will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. in the school cafeteria. The cost is $10 for an adult and $5 for a child.

Trivia night will follow the dinner. It will have 10 categories, 10 questions for teams of high school-age and older. There is a limit of eight players per team and the team entry fee is $120. Rules will be provided. There will be door prizes and prizes for best decorated tables. The school requests no audience for the trivia night.

Mulligan will be available. Snacks and nonalcoholic drinks will be provided at no charge. There will be pot of gold tickets available at $30 each plus a 50-5 raffle.

Cooper heads down the hallway in Baldwin West for another day of school. He's focused. He's friendly. He's furry. Cooper, a golden doodle, is teacher Erin Armbruster's trained therapy dog, and his pawprints reach beyond just her classroom. "He helps out the students. He's a very good dog," fifth-grader Myles Cain said.
