The honors keep coming for Quincy Notre Dame's Jordan Frericks. The senior forward who helped the Lady Raiders win the Class 3A state championship with Saturday's 62-45 win over Vernon Hills has been named the Illinois large-school Player of the Year by Illinois Basketball Services.
Frericks, an Associated Press Class 3A unanimous first-team all-state selection, was named the IBS small-school Player of the Year as a junior and is headed to the University of Missouri in the fall.
During Frericks' four seasons at QND, the Lady Raiders went 124-5 with three state titles and a second-place finish.
She averaged 17.2 points, 8.2 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game this season.
