A Timewell woman died early Wednesday morning at Blessing Hospital from injuries she suffred in a two-vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon near Coatsburg.

Connie Cook, 63, died at 2:46 a.m. Wednesday from her injuries, Adams County Coroner James Keller said. Cook was driving her 2001 Toyota east on U.S. 24 when she lost control of the vehicle on the snowy highway at 4:36 p.m. about a half-mile west of Coatsburg.

According to a report from the Adams County Sheriff's Department, Cook's car crossed the center line and was struck by a westbound 2005 Chevrolet pickup truck driven by Stephen Schutte, 42, of Payson. Schutte was not injured.

Cook's car sustained major damage, while Schutte's vehicle sustained moderate damage. No tickets were issued.
