College basketball preview: Wisconsin-Parkside vs. QU women, GLVC Tournament

Scouting the Rangers: UWP beat No. 12-seeded Drury 65-39 on Sunday in the GLVC Tournament's first round, claiming its sixth triumph in its last seven games. Sierra West scored 15 points for the Rangers in that contest, and Danielle Slivka added 14 points and 12 rebounds.

Jenna Endisch, a 5-foot-8 senior guard, leads UWP at 14.7 points per game. West, a 5-6 senior guard, is supplying 9.3 points and a league-best 5.9 assists per game. Slivka, a 5-10 junior forward, averages 8.9 points and a league-best 7.5 rebounds per game.

UWP leads the GLVC in scoring defense (55.7 points per game) and 3-point percentage (35.8 percent) and ranks second in field-goal percentage (44.8 percentage) and steals (10.2 per game).

Recent history: Quincy has not won the GLVC Tournament since topping Indianapolis 66-60 to win the 2005 crown. The past three seasons, QU won its tournament opener before bowing out in the semifinals.

The series: UWP leads the all-time series 18-16.
