Randy and Ronda Frese of Paloma have announced the engagement of their daughter, Jana Rose Frese, to Daniel Brookshier, son of Mike and Penny Brookshier of Warrensburg, Mo.

The bride-elect, of Warrensburg, graduated from Central High School in 2008 and is a graduate student at the University of Central Missouri. She is a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and sings in the Warrensburg Community Choir. Miss Frese is a graduate assistant of international admissions.

The prospective bridegroom graduated from Knob Noster High School in 2005, earned an associate's degree in automotive technology from State Fair Community College in 2008, and attends the IHM Academy of EMS' paramedic certificate program. He is a firefighter for the Johnson County Fire Protection District and Warrensburg Fire Protection District. Mr. Brookshier is a communications officer and emergency medical technician for the Johnson County Ambulance District.

A July 6 wedding is planned in Warrensburg.
