The parents of Courtney Seals and Caleb Janssen have announced the couple's engagement.

The bride-elect is a daughter of Brenda Seals and Jim and Jenny Seals of Quincy. She is a 2009 graduate of Liberty High School, a 2012 graduate of Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville with a bachelor of science degree in accountancy, and is pursuing a master of business administration degree from Western Illinois University. Miss Seals is a staff accountant at Wade Stables, P.C.

The prospective bridegroom is a son of Marlon and Janet Janssen of Quincy. He is a 2007 homeschool graduate and a 2009 graduate of John Wood Community College with an associate's degree in business. Mr. Janssen is a home builder for Janssen Builders Inc.

The couple will be married June 1 in Quincy University Chapel.

It had been several years since Baker, an all-stater as a senior at Pittsfield High School, had seen the game. "I sure was awful skinny, and those shorts were awful short," he said with a laugh. "But it was neat to watch. It's kind of a blur, but I can remember plays that were called in every game. It's so surreal."
