A Plainville woman was injured in a one-car accident at 12:05 p.m. Monday on Ill. 96 at 325th Lane, about a half mile south of the Adams-Pike county line.

Kimberly S. Graham, 38, was taken to Hannibal (Mo.) Regional Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The Illinois State Police reported Graham was a passenger in a 1994 Honda driven south by Tabitha J. Sisti, 42, of Plainville, who swerved to miss a deer on the road. The car ran off the right side of the highway and traveled about 164 feet through the west ditch before striking a tree.

Police reported the car continued through the ditch, drove back onto the highway and came to rest in the east ditch about 545 feet from where it had left the road. The car had major damaged and was towed.

Police said both women were wearing seat belts. Sisti refused medical treatment.

Assisting were the Pike County Sheriff's Department, Hull-Kinderhook Fire Department and the Pike County Ambulance.
