A Louisiana driver was injured at 7 a.m. Monday in a car-van accident on U.S. 54 at Peacock Lane in Pike County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu driven west by Matthew L. White, 27, of Louisiana, failed to yield to an eastbound 1999 Plymouth Voyage driven by Kimberly L. Harrison, 31, also of Louisiana.

The two vehicles collided head-on, police said. Both drivers were wearing seat belts.

White was taken by Pike County EMS to Pike County Memorial Hospital in Louisiana for treatment of minor injuries.
