Fire marshal labels Hannibal house fire as arson; arrest made

HANNIBAL, Mo. -- A house fire at 807 Paris Avenue at 8 p.m. Thursday has been labeled as arson by a state fire marshal. One person was taken into custody by the Hannibal Police Department in connection to the blaze.

One was person was slightly injured, according to the Hannibal Fire Department. All the occupants had exited the house when firefighters arrived. A civilian had sustained minor injuries but declined treatment, according to a Hannibal Fire Department spokesman.

There was heavy smoke and fire damage to the structure.
