Perry, Mo., man injured in one-car accident

PARIS, Mo. -- A Perry, Mo., man suffered moderate injuries during a one-car accident in Monroe County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, John Asbury, 74, failed to negotiate a curve while traveling west 3 miles east of Paris on Mo. 154, ran off the road and struck a fence and a tree at 2:50 p.m.

His 2012 Chevrolet truck was totalled in the accident. Asbury was transported by Monroe County Ambulance to Audrain Medical Center in Mexico. The Monroe County Sheriff's Department assisted.
