PALMYRA, Mo. -- A snow-covered highway was a contributing factor to a one-vehicle accident at 8:35 a.m. Sunday.

Marcus A. Hudelson, 16, of Taylor, was taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 1986 Ford F150 was southbound on U.S. 61, one mile south of Palmyra, when its driver lost control and ran off the right side of the highway. Police said the vehicle struck a guardrail, overturned and came to rest on its top. Hudelson was wearing a seat belt, police said.

Assisting were the Marion County Sheriff's Department and Marion County Ambulance.
