Snowy weather has forced an author to postpone his trip for a Quincy book signing that had been scheduled for today.

Stephen Moore, author of "Who's the Fairest of Them All?" was scheduled to hold a book signing and luncheon at ONE Restaurant. His trip was being sponsored by the Illinois Policy Institute. A spokesman for the IPI hoped to see the visit rescheduled, but did not have details yet.

Moore, an Illinois native, is a reporter with the Wall Street Journal. His book promotes the free enterprise system as the fairest way to treat people.

"What made America rich and great was equality of opportunity ... not equality of outcomes," Moore said.

He also believes that Illinois, New York and California are the three most politically dysfunctional states, with high taxes and extensive regulation.

Silver Saukees: Pittsfield's state title team to reunite after 25 years
Tony Baker recently watched a video of the 1991 Class A state championship game with his 11-year-old daughter. It had been several years since Baker, an all-stater as a senior at Pittsfield High School, had seen the game. "I sure was awful skinny, and those shorts were awful short," he said with a laugh. "But it was neat to watch. It's kind of a blur, but I can remember plays that were called in every game. It's so surreal."
