One injured in one-vehicle accident near Palmyra, Mo.

One person was injured at 9:35 a.m. Monday in a one-vehicle accident on slush-covered U.S. 24, three miles south of Palmyra.

Kathryn R. Moore, 45, of Palmyra, was taken by Marion County Ambulance to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill., for treatment of minor injuries.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2000 Chevrolet truck driven by Travis L. Moore, 45, of Palmyra, went out of control, skidded off the right side of the highway and overturned. Both husband and wife were wearing seat belts, police said.

Also assisting were the Marion County Sheriff's Department and Palmyra Fire and Rescue.
