Blessing-Rieman College of Nursing faculty members Autumn Voss and Barb Vahle are organizing a haircutting event to help the Pantene Beautiful Lengths project make free real-hair wigs for cancer patients who have lost their own hair during cancer treatment.

"The Cut" will take place Thursday, April 4, at Studio 835, 835 Kentucky. Studio owner Nancy Maggliochetti is donating her services.

Anyone with at least 8 inches of healthy hair who is willing to have it cut and donated to Beautiful Lenghts is welcome to join Voss, Vahle and others from Blessing-Rieman who are participating. Hair must not be bleached, dyed or have been chemically treated.

Anyone who participates will receive a coupon for a free cut and style.

"We are doing this in honor of our mothers who had cancer," Voss said.
