Quincy resident arrested on suspicion of possession of meth precursor

A 29-year-old Quincy resident was arrested Wednesday after authorities said he took possession of pseudoephedrine, the key ingredient in the production of methamphetamine.


Chikwado U. Emeka, 29, was arrested by members of the West Central Illinois Task Force in the 1700 block of College. Emeka was observed taking possession of the methamphetamine precursor and transported to the Adams County Jail where he is lodged on the felony offense.  


The West Central Illinois Task Force was assisted in the investigation by the Adams County Sheriff's Department, Quincy Police Department and the Lewis County (Mo.) Sheriff's Department.
