The Moberly girls soccer team had dominated the North Central Missouri Conference without an equal.
No longer is that the case.
Thursday night, Hannibal ended Moberly's 48-game conference winning streak with a 1-0 victory at Porter Stadium.
Theresa Sheffer's unassisted goal late in the first half proved to be enough for the Lady Pirates (4-0, 3-0 NCMC) to knock off the four-time defending NCMC champion.
Kaitlin Edge posted her fourth shutout of the season in goal.
Galesburg 12, Illini West 2: The Chargers opened play in the Galesburg Invitational by struggling to keep the Silver Streaks from manufacturing runs.
Galesburg had two extra-base hits among its 12 hits, but the Silver Streaks took advantage of two walks, a hit batter and an error in their five-run fifth inning.
Two errors and two walks contributed to a three-run first inning as well.
Braden Bennett went 2 for 3 with a run scored for Illini West, while Colton Mellinger had an RBI single.
Scotland County Triangular: Brice Cowell lshot a 7-over par 41 for Scotland County, which finished second at Timber Ridge Golf Course in Memphis, Mo.

Putnam County posted a 165 to win the meet, while Scotland County shot a 191.
