Two drug arrests made in Mendon trailer park

MENDON, Ill. -- Two people were arrested after police said a shake-and-bake meth lab was found in a Mendon trailer park Thursday night.

Police said officers raided a mobile home in the Kropps Court trailer park and seized a meth lab, meth and numerous components used in meth manufacturing process.

The Illinois State Police reported that Christina Lea Metz, 57, of Kropps Court, and Charles E. Jenkins, 54, of 517 E. Witt, Loraine, were both arrested on charges of suspicion of aggravated unlawful participation in methamphetamine production, unlawful possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of methamphetamine manufacturing material and unlawful possession of methamphetamine waste.

Both were lodged in the Adams County Jail.

ISP reported that Metz is on probation on a charge of unlawful possession of methamphetamine in Brown County and Jenkins is out on bond in Adams County on charges of armed violence and stalking.

Law enforcement agencies involved in the raid were the ISP, West Central Illinois Task Force, Adams County Sheriff's Department and the ISP's Methamphetamine Response Team.
