Charles R. ]and Charlotte Tournear

Charles R. "Bob" and Charlotte Tournear of LaGrange, Mo., have observed their 50th wedding anniversary. A family celebration will be held at a later date.

The couple was married March 18, 1963, in Rock Island.

They are the parents of Angela (Donald) Goldenstein of Golden, Becky (Mark) Bartz of Knox City, Mo., Cory (Kara) Tournear of LaBelle, Mo., and Todd (Diane) Tournear of Camp Point. They have 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. A son, Chuck, and a grandchild are deceased.

Mr. Tournear retired from construction and still does side jobs.

Mrs. Tournear retired from raising dogs and other jobs.

They enjoy their three dogs.

Tony Baker recently watched a video of the 1991 Class A state championship game with his 11-year-old daughter. It had been several years since Baker, an all-stater as a senior at Pittsfield High School, had seen the game. "I sure was awful skinny, and those shorts were awful short," he said with a laugh. "But it was neat to watch. It's kind of a blur, but I can remember plays that were called in every game. It's so surreal."
