Louis and Sharon Frame of 2801 Cabot Road have announced the engagement of their daughter, Carissa Frame, to Dave Gowing, both of Naperville. He is a son of Paul and Char Kelly of Arlington Heights.

Miss Frame graduated from Quincy High School in 2002, from Illinois State University in Normal in 2006 and is pursuing a master's degree at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb. She is a behavioral health counselor for students with emotional disturbances.

Mr. Gowing graduated from Prospect High School in Mount Prospect in 1999, from Western Illinois University in Macomb in 2005 and earned a master's degree from Aurora University in Aurora in 2012. He is a drivers education teacher at Waubonsie Valley High School.

An Aug. 10 wedding is planned in Quincy.
