Driver injured in Memphis, Mo. accident

MEMPHIS, Mo. -- The driver of a SUV was slightly injured in a one-car accident at 6:30 p.m. Friday on U.S. 136, two miles east of Memphis.

Hannah M. Smith, 19, was taken by Scotland County Ambulance to Scotland County Hospital for treatment.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 1998 Mercury Mountaineer was westbound when a tire blew out, causing the driver to lose control. The SUV ran off the left side of the highway and struck an embankment.

Assisting were the Memphis Police Department and the Scotland County Sheriff's Department.
