Hannibal girls soccer team remains undefeated in NCMC

HANNIBAL, Mo. — The Hannibal girls soccer team remains perfect in the North Central Missouri Conference.

The Lady Pirates beat Mexico 3-0 on Thursday at Mexico, Mo., to improve to 14-4 overall and 10-0 in the NCMC. They outshot the Bulldogs 27-2.

Raylynn Charlton played a through ball to Theresa Sheffer, who beat the Mexico keeper to give Hannibal a 1-0 edge in the seventh minute. Paige Utterback scored in the 15th minute after making a run to the far post and finishing off a Katherine Allen corner kick. Hannibal's final goal came in the 53rd minute, when Sheffer played a through ball to Charlton, who deposited a shot in the goal.

Hannibal will try to keep its NCMC perfection streak going Monday when it faces Fulton at home.
