New London woman arrested on drug-related charge

A New London woman was arrested Thursday and charged Friday with a drug-related offense.

The Northeast Missouri Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant Thursday at the home of Emily Kurz, 29, of 15812 Northside Drive in New London. Law enforcement officials found and seized a large amount of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and U.S. currency. Kurz was taken into custody at the scene.

On Friday, the Ralls County prosecuting attorney's office charged Kurz with possession of a controlled substance, a Class C Felony. Associate Circuit Judge David Mobley issued an arrest warrant for Kurz and set her bond at $25,000. More charges may be pending.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol, the Ralls County Sheriff's Department and the New London Police Department assisted with Thursday's search at Kurz's home.
