The Dark River Derby Coalition, Quincy's first women's flat track roller derby league, will be hosting a bout to raise money for the Advocacy Network for Children at 7 p.m. Saturday at Scotties Fun Spot.

The team will be taking on the McLean County MissFit. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the bout starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $8 for adults in advance, $10 at the door. Kids 12 and under are admitted free.

A portion of the ticket sales will be donated by the Dark River Derby Coalition and Scotties Fun Spot to the Advocacy Network for Children.

Last year the coalition raised more than $500 for the Advocacy Network. A half-time check presentation will also be made to Big Brothers Big Sisters in the amount of $483 from the coalition's third season opener.
