An investigation into a traffic crash at 3:22 a.m. Friday in the 800 block of Jackson eventually led to the arrest of a naked man in the 900 block of Adams.

The Quincy Police Department reports that police, fire and EMS were dispatched to a traffic crash in the 800 block of Jackson. Upon arrival, police found a black 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt on its roof with the driver still inside. When the fully clothed driver saw police, he fled on foot. Officers gave chase, and when they apprehended the man in the 900 block of Adams, he was not wearing any clothes.

The investigation determined the suspect was driving east on Jackson from Eighth when he left the driving lane to the right and struck the back of a parked pickup truck. The Chevrolet flipped over and came to rest on its top in the road, with the driver being the sole occupant.

The driver was sustained injuries from the accident but refused medical treatment, police said.

Steven Lynn Miller Jr., 19, of 1613 Center Granview, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, resisting a peace officer, improper lane usage and driving while license was suspended.
