Truck-SUV accident in Knox County injures one

NOVELTY, Mo. -- A truck-SUV accident at 5:10 p.m. Thursday 4 miles west of Novelty slightly injured a Novelty man.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that Darrell R. Shepard, 26, was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado west on Mo. 154 when he met a 2007 Honda Pilot driven by Clifford J. Head, 33, of Novelty. The vehicles sideswiped each other at the top of a hill.

Shepard was taken by Knox County Ambulance to the Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville for treatment of minor injuries.

Assisting were the Knox County Sheriff's Department and the Knox County Rescue Squad.
