Mike Giles was stuck along the side of the road, he and his players sitting in a broken down bus.
With what happened before the Pleasant Hill  football team left Concord, Ill., Giles didn't mind the wait.

The Wolves beat Triopia 14-8 Friday for the first time in such a long time, Giles doesn't even remember the last time it happened.

So he didn't mind the wait.

"I'm sitting in a broken down bus right now, but I don't care," Giles said. "I'm happy we won."
Pleasant Hill and Triopia were knotted at zero at halftime. The Wolves took the lead on an eight-yard run by Corby Edwards.

"As a coaching staff, we knew if we could make it to halftime tied or ahead, we could win," Giles said. "We were ready to go in the second half."

With a little over five minutes left, Triopia drove the ball to the Wolves' 2-yard line when the lights went out and delayed the game.

When the game resumed, the Trojans scored and converted the two-point conversion to go ahead 8-6.

Pleasant Hill convereted a key fourth-and-four and got the ball down to the 1-yard line thanks to a 3-yard run by Blake DeCamp.

Wolves quarterback Seth Moyers than ran the ball in for a 1-yard score with 1 minute, 21 seconds remaining for the winning score.

"It gives us all the confidence in the world," Giles said. "We can build on it and are planning on making a run at the WIVC South division. We played a good game and re hoping to get some kids back we were missing next week."
