Tim and Julie Bonansinga, owners of Bonansinga & Associates, say the former Snelling Staffing Services that their company has operated since 1995 is no longer affiliated with Snelling and started operating under the name Inter-Connect Employment Services this year.
The Inter-Connect name is based on the Bonansingas' belief that a staffing company should facilitate connections between employers, employees and human resource services.
"The Quincy market is unique and requires a customized approach to employment services," Julie Bonansinga said in a news release.
The Bonansingas recently worked with a client to recruit and hire a team to staff a new firm. They performed interviews, prepared a job analysis, came up with a recruiting strategy, developed a multiphase staffing process and put together a management system. Later, they assessed nearly 2,000 applicants, did interviews and prepared portfolios of the most suitable job candidates. All the positions were filled, and all have been retained.
The employment service, at 236 N. Fifth, has two full-time staff members who are licensed through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. They conduct advanced testing, background screening and behavioral-based interviews, as well as live-scan fingerprinting.
"Our recent changes will allow our team to offer more customized services, thus providing the community with more opportunities for growth," Julie Bonansinga said in the release.
