The Unity boys basketball team is making its first state tournament appearance in school history as they knocked out Waterloo Gibault 67-49 in the Class 1A super-sectional at the Jacksonville Bowl on Tuesday night.

The Mustangs (21-11) will play Mooseheart at 2 p.m. Friday in the state semifinals in Carver Arena in Peoria. The winner of that game will play advance to the state title game on Saturday.
