This slideshow is a compilation of photos taken by fans of the Unity High School boys basketball team, which advanced to the Class 1A state tournament for the first time in school history.

The Mustangs (21-11) will play Mooseheart at 2 p.m. Friday in the state semifinals in Carver Arena in Peoria. The winner of that game will play advance to the state title game on Saturday.

    A body was pulled from the Mississippi River near LaGrange, Mo., Monday afternoon. Sgt. Brent Bernhardt of the Missouri State Highway Patrol said a helicopter spotted what appeared to be a body in the river around 12:30 p.m. on the Illinois side of the river.

    Roger Rupp was incredulous when he learned his wheelchair ramp had been taken from his home two weeks ago. Rupp, a U.S. Army veteran, has multiple sclerosis. The 10-foot by 3-foot aluminum ramp helped him access a garage at the rear of his 11th Street house -- or at least it did.
