HANNIBAL, Mo. -- Hannibal-LaGrange University will host the "Leadercast" webcast May 9 featuring a variety of renowned speakers, including Archbishop Desmond Tutu and Laura Bush, all speaking live through satellite hookups.
The webcast is being made available to local community leaders for a $65 fee, which includes lunch and snacks.
The webcast, which will originate from Atlanta and be shown at hundreds of sites around the world, is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. The event will be presented on a large screen inside the Roland Fine Arts Center, where registration begins at 7:30 a.m.
This marks the 15th year for the Leadercast event, which was seen by 100,000 people last year in 14 countries. This year's event is expected to reach its largest audience yet.
"It is one of the single most consolidated sources of leadership that I know of," said Lauren Youse, HLGU alumni director. "But it goes beyond that. I think this conference, although very focused on leadership, transcends the topic and really shows you how to lead in life."
Tickets can be bought by going to www.hlg.edu/leadercast or by calling Youse at 573-629-3126.
This year's speaker lineup includes:
