Richard and Marilyn Ormond

Richard and Marilyn Ormond of 2407 Wheatland Drive will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a dinner with family and friends in June at Tony's Too, hosted by their children.

The couple was married May 16, 1964, in Immaculate Conception Church in Macon, Mo.

Mrs. Ormond, the former Marilyn Marra, is a daughter of the late Johnnie and Mary Marra. Mr. Ormond is a son of the late Joseph and Irene Ormond.

They are the parents of Shelly (Kent) Watson and Kelly (Sam) Burgtorf, all of Quincy, and Kris (Tim) Fuhrken of Shawnee, Kan. They have six grandchildren.

Mr. Ormond was employed by Gardner Denver from 24 years, Midwest Pattern for 10 years and Poly Mold for 10 years before his retirement in 2000. Mrs. Ormond retired in 2007 from Blessing Hospital after 33 years of service. They also retired from farming in 2006.

They are members of St. Francis Catholic Church.
