Wayne and Ella Tittsworth

Wayne and Ella Tittsworth of Pittsfield will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. May 31 in the Leta Shaw Room at the Senior Center, 220 W. Adams, in Pittsfield. The event will be hosted by their son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Betsy Tittsworth, and Mrs. Tittsworth's sister and brother-in-law, Laverda and Robert Gleckler. The couple requests no gifts.

Mr. and Mrs. Tittsworth were married June 2, 1954, in the Methodist church in Hull.

Mrs. Tittsworth is a daughter of the late Floyd E. and Alma Kistner Hofmeister. Mr. Tittsworth is a son of the late Jesse and Evalena Seba Tittsworth.

They are the parents of a son, Mark (Betsy) Tittsworth of New Berlin. They have three granddaughters and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Tittsworth was a barber for 56 years before his retirement in January, and Mrs. Tittsworth was employed by the State of Illinois Department of Human Services for 46 years, retiring in April 2002.
