Several windows were broken and some holes were found in the walls of a residence at 511 Washington on May 4.

Rear hatch window of a 2012 Kia was broken with a rock while it was parked at 1040 Hampshire on May 7.

Vehicle's windshield was hit by a BB while traveling in the area of 24th and Adams at 5:40 p.m. April 24.

Several windows were broken and holes put in walls of a rental property at 511 Washington prior to May 4.

Door and lock on the east side of Vermont Street United Methodist Church, 818 Vermont, was damaged on May 9.

A 2008 Honda scooter was damaged when it was knocked over at 610 Payson Ave. at 1:12 a.m. May 10.

A 2011 Ford was damaged while parked at rear of a residence 917 Washington at 11:34 p.m. May 5.

Thefts, burglaries

Loose change was taken from an unlocked vehicle parked at 330 S. 16th on April 27.

A Quincy woman was a victim of scam. She wired money to Peru after being told her grandson was incarcerated in Mexico.

Leather wallet and an undisclosed amount of cash was taken from a vehicle at 1113 York on May 10.

Oakley sunglasses, purse and wallet were taken from an unlocked vehicle at 3201 Frese Drive on May 5.

BB pistol was taken from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 300 block of North Eighth on May 10.

Numerous items were taken from a residence at 2510 Dennis Drive between April 25-May 5.

A Xbox and 15 games were taken from a residence at 618 Harrison on May 6.

An undisclosed amount of cash was taken from a woman's purse while she was at 5333 Broadway on May 8.

Two persons were stealing unplanted trees and plants were taken from backyard at 2246 Chestnut. No date was given by police.

Laptop and an iPad were taken from a 2012 unit belonging to Prairieland FS while it was parked at 711 Payson Ave. between May 5-6.

Brinks brand safe was taken from a residence at 1030 Washington on May 7.

Brown trash container was taken from 615 Hampshire on May 3.

Approximately $20 in loose change was taken from an unlocked 2012 Toyta Matrix while parked at 330 S. 16th between April 27-28.

Black Apple iPod was taken from a 2012 Chevrolet Suburban while parked at 1840 Jersey between April 26-27.

Numerous items were taken from an unlocked residence and garage at 1506 Chestnut between April 19-29.

Backpack containing John Wood Community College textbooks were taken from an older model Cadillac after a homeless man accepted a ride and accidentally left the backpack in the car. Police did not give a date for the incident. The victim did not know the names of the two men in the Cadillac.

Purple 20-inch Kent bicycle was taken fro 621 Washington between April 27-29.

Desktop computer and Playstation 3 were taken from a residence at 1303 State on May 6.

Counterfeit money

A counterfeit $50 bill was received at First Bankers Trust, 1201 Broadway, on May 5.

Tony Baker recently watched a video of the 1991 Class A state championship game with his 11-year-old daughter. It had been several years since Baker, an all-stater as a senior at Pittsfield High School, had seen the game. "I sure was awful skinny, and those shorts were awful short," he said with a laugh. "But it was neat to watch. It's kind of a blur, but I can remember plays that were called in every game. It's so surreal."
