John and Connie Liesen

John and Connie Liesen of 3521 Colonial Court have observed their 60th wedding anniversary.

They were married May 31, 1954, in St. Rose Catholic Church.

Mrs. Liesen, the former Connie Cosgrove, is a daughter of the late Edmund and Roberta Cosgrove. Mr. Liesen is a son of the late Luke and Rosetta Liesen.

They are the parents of Sister Debbie Liesen, SSND, of Baltimore, John Liesen of Naperville and Mike Liesen of Quincy. They have nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Mr. Liesen owned and operated Liesen's Market before his retirement. He is an active volunteer with Meals on Wheels, Blessing Hospital and RSVP.

Mrs. Liesen retired from Liesen's Market and then retired from Wal-Mart after 20 years of service.

They are members of St. Francis Catholic Church and enjoy attending and watching Quincy Notre Dame and Quincy University athletic games.
