Arlo and Peggy Junk

Arlo and Peggy Junk of 2120 S. Sheridan Drive will be honored for their 50th wedding anniversary with a dinner at the Pier Restaurant, hosted by their daughters. They will also celebrate with a trip to the Wisconsin Dells, where they went on their honeymoon.

Mr. Junk and the former Peggy Ison were married July 3, 1964, in Hamilton.

Mrs. Junk is a daughter of the late John and Mildred Ison. Mr. Junk is a son of the late Forrest and Florence Junk.

They are the parents of Vickie Henninger of Quincy and Trudi Pieper of Troy. They have three grandchildren.

Mr. Junk retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He is a St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoys playing golf.

Mrs. Junk is employed by First Bankers Trust Co. She is a member of the Elks Club and enjoys golf and doing things with their grandchildren.

The couple met when Mrs. Junk was with a friend and they had a flat tire. Mr. Junk and a friend stopped and fixed it for them. He dated her friend first, and then he and Mrs. Junk got together later.
