Stan and Marilyn Obert

Stan and Marilyn Obert of 598 E. 2200th St., Liberty, are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary by hosting a family dinner today in Sprout's Inn. They also plan a trip to Alaska in July.

The couple was married June 29, 1974, in St. Rose Catholic Church in Quincy.

Mrs. Obert, the former Marilyn Allison, is a daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Allison. Mr. Obert is a son of the late Donald and Anna Mae Obert.

They are the parents of John (Melissa) Obert and David (Angela) Obert, all of rural Liberty, Sarah (Michael) Shriver of Ursa and Mark (Amanda) Obert of rural Camp Point. They have six grandchildren and one on the way.

Mr. Obert is employed by ADM in Quincy. He enjoys all sports and gardening.

Mrs. Obert is a homemaker. She enjoys reading, bird watching and photography.

They are active members of St. Brigid Catholic Church in Liberty and enjoy traveling and spending time with their family and grandchildren.
