Miss Jamie Crooks and Brady Carroll, both of Clayton, were married in a private ceremony May 20 at Couples Swept Away resort in Negril, Jamaica. Lloyd A. Francis conducted the 11 a.m. ceremony. The newlyweds celebrated later in Quincy.

The bride is a daughter of Jane Parker and a stepdaughter of Matthew Aden, both of Camp Point, and a daughter of James Crooks of Clayton. The bridegroom is a son of Shelly and Larry Carroll of Pleasant Hill.

Matron of honor was Jennie Roberts of Golden, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Malory Willen of Hazelwood, Mo., and Tara Dolbeare of Pleasant Hill, sisters of the bridegroom.

Best men were Ransom Carroll of Liberty, brother of the bridegroom, and Silas Carroll, son of the bridal couple. Groomsmen were Chris Carroll of Pleasant Hill, brother of the bridegroom, and Dustin Parker of Edwards Air Force Base in Southern California, brother of the bride.

A reception was held June 14 in the Ambiance in Quincy, beginning at 6 p.m.

The bridal couple honeymooned in Negril and are at home in Clayton.

The bride is employed by PACT Head Start in Camp Point.

The bridegroom is employed by Dot Foods in Mount Sterling.

It had been several years since Baker, an all-stater as a senior at Pittsfield High School, had seen the game. "I sure was awful skinny, and those shorts were awful short," he said with a laugh. "But it was neat to watch. It's kind of a blur, but I can remember plays that were called in every game. It's so surreal."
