George and Marilyn Hoffman

George and Marilyn Hoffman of 19652 State Hwy. P, Canton, Mo., will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary from 2 to 4 p.m. July 20 at the Cornerstone Inn in Canton. The event will be hosted by their children and grandchildren. Family and friends are invited.

Mr. Hoffman and the former Marilyn Cox were married July 18, 1964, in Wyaconda Baptist Church west of Canton.

Mrs. Hoffman is a daughter of the late J. Harold and Leona Drescher Cox. Mr. Hoffman is a son of the late Stanley and Mildred Blackburn Hoffman.

They are the parents of Debra (Ed) Schoenfelt of Chesterton, Ind., Maria (Mike) Baker of Quincy and John (Sarah) Hoffman of Keokuk, Iowa. They have eight grandchildren.

Mr. Hoffman retired after 33 years with the U.S. Postal Service in Canton. He is a past master and 50-year member of Craft Lodge 287 AF&AM.

Mrs. Hoffman retired from the Canton Insurance Co. and more recently after 30 years as secretary at Culver-Stockton College.

The Hoffmans live on their Century Farm west of Canton.
