They are the parents of Andi (Jim) Vogel of Fowler, Terry (Angie) Newell of Liberty and Kevin (Dawn) Newell of Quincy. They have six grandchildren.

Mr. Newell was employed by Harris Corp. for 32 years and retired from Glenayre in 1995 after eight years of employment.

Mrs. Newell worked for 33 years as a teacher of English, with 28 years at Quincy High School, seven years as director of music ministries at Central Baptist Church, and three years as a substitute teacher at Liberty High School.

They are members of Madison Park Christian Church.

During the earlier years of their marriage and retirement, they traveled throughout the states and enjoyed cruises to the Caribbean, Alaska, East Coast New York to Nova Scotia, and the Caymen Islands. At this point in time, their lives revolve around church and family activities.
