Henry County coroner: Kewanee man electrocuted

KEWANEE, Ill. (AP) - The Henry County coroner says a western Illinois man was apparently electrocuted when an aluminum ladder he was carrying contacted a power line.

Henry County Coroner Dave Johnson tells the Journal Star in Peoria (http://bit.ly/1oDRCzu ) that 39-year-old Curtis W. English of Kewanee was pronounced dead Sunday. Johnson says "all indications are that he was electrocuted."

Johnson says firefighters took him to the hospital after the incident happened in a house's side yard.

Johnson says an inquest will be scheduled. Ameren Illinois, Kewanee police and the coroner's office are investigating.
