Miss Blair Bentzinger and Matthew Garmer exchanged wedding vows at 3 p.m. May 3 at The Crossing in Lima, with the Rev. Richard Martin officiating.
The bride is a daughter of Lyle and Mary Ann Bentzinger of Mendon. The bridegroom is a son of James and Sherri Garmer of Quincy.
Rick Crider was guitarist and vocalist, and Janet Martin was organist. Also participating in the ceremony were Marianne Ward and Lesa Wiesemann, readers.
Maid of honor was Lauren Bentzinger, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Alyssa Smith, Laura Herzog and Sarah Garmer, sister of the bridegroom.
Best man was Billy Bowles. Groomsmen were Jon Fecht, Greg Meyer and Reed Bentzinger, brother of the bride.
Ushers were Danny Spohr and Caleb Eidson.
A rehearsal dinner, hosted by the bridegroom's parents, was held May 2 in the East Room of O'Griff's. A reception began at 6 p.m. at Winters' West Wing.
The bridal couple enjoyed a mini-honeymoon in Hermann, Mo., with plans for a longer honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico, this fall.
The bride is a 2008 graduate of Unity High School in Mendon and graduated magna cum laude with a doctor of pharmacy degree from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, in May. She is the pharmacy manager at County Market in Canton, Mo.
The bridegroom is a 2003 graduate of Unity High School in Mendon and received his bachelor of business degree in management in 2007 and his master in business administration in 2009, both from Western Illinois University. He is the financial accountant at Quincy Recycle in Quincy.?
A bridal shower, hosted by the bridegroom's aunts, Beverly Gilbert, Lesa Hemming and Marianne Ward, was held March 29 at the Loraine Fire House; a friends bridal shower, hosted by Lesa Wiesemann and Lauren Bentzinger, was held April 12 in the Wiesemann home; and a couple's shower, hosted by Vickie, Jaime and Jen Bentzinger, was held April 27 in Jaime Bentzinger's home.
