Monroe City couple injured in rollover on Route W

MONROE CITY, Mo. -- A Monroe City couple was injured in a rollover accident east of Monroe City at 9:20 p.m. Tuesday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Brian R. Ebers, 30, was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Blazer west on Route W, three miles east of Monroe City, when it traveled off the right side of road and overturned.

Ebers sustained serious injuries and was taken by Monroe City Ambulance to Hannibal Regional Hospital. His wife, Diana M. Ebers, 30, had minor injuries and told authorities she would seek her own treatment.

Each was wearing a seat belt.
