Two teens injured in Pike County, Mo. crash

PIKE COUNTY, Mo. --Two teenagers were injured at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in a two-vehicle accident on U.S. 61 north of Hwy. WW.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2000 Toyota Camry driven by Sabrina L. Stewart, 16, of Whiteside, changed lanes in front of a northbound 1991 Chevrolet 1500 driven by Jonathan M. Goldfuss, 17, of Winfield. The truck struck the rear of the Toyota.

Injured were Stewart and her passenger, Nick A. Mauiro, 14, of Eolia. Mauiro was taken by Pike County Ambulance to St. Joseph West Hospital in St. Louis for treatment of moderate injuries. Stewart was taken by Pike County Ambulance to Pike County Memorial Hospital in Louisiana for treatment of minor injuries.

Both were wearing a seat belt, police said.
