Four injured in rear-end collision on Ill. 104 east of Quincy

Four people were injured at 12:25 p.m. Friday in a rear-end collision on Ill. 104.

Kaii L.R. Ward, 20, and her passengers, Kortni L. Shankland, 20, both of Quincy, and two minor children were taken to Blessing Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The Adams County Sheriff's Department reported Ward was driving a 2005 Pontiac east on Ill. 104, east of the Rock Quarry Road, when she attempted to make a left turn and was struck in the rear by a 2001 Pontiac driven by Taylor M. Havens, 17, of Fowler.

The accident remains under investigation. Arrests are pending, deputies said.
