EWING, Mo. -- The ninth annual Ewing Park Party will be from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, and continuing with a car show Sunday, Aug. 10.
All events will take place in the Ewing Community Park. A whiffle ball tournament starts things off at 9 a.m. Aug. 9., with a silent auction from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., a parade at 11 a.m., bingo from noon to 4 p.m., and a hog roast from 4 to 6 p.m.
In addition, kids' games, food vendors and entertainment will be ongoing throughout the afternoon. Entertainers include Angie Dodds, Debbie Spratt Faulconer, Jerry Lucas and the Gillespie Family, who will perform from 7 to 8 p.m.
The Ewing Car and Tractor Show will be held 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 10, in the park. Registration is from 8 to 11 a.m., and judging will begin at noon. Registration for the whiffle ball tournament must be made by 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 7. Teams can have seven to nine players and must submit a $50 team entry fee. Slow-pitch rules will apply, and there are no age or gender limits. Checks can be made payable to the Ewing Ball Association and mailed with the entry form to the Ewing Ball Association, 402 E. Clow St., Ewing, MO 63440.
All tournament proceeds benefit the Ewing Ball Association.
